Franklin D. Roosevelt , has foreseen the real danger when he said -The liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerated the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than the democratic state itself. That in its essence is fascism: ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or any controlling private power. . “ Today , we find this danger is lurking from ever corners of Democracy — Today, unfortunately and most ironically , we are observing a very new method of dictating democracy by those whose existence came into being through Democracy. !!!

Most of the time, democracies work best when there is a stable economy and a population that’s generally united together.

When the economy stops, and the Government is not in a postion to provide enough jobs for the population, or when the country’s overall political climate begins to turn divisive, democratically elected leaders tend to take recourse the measures which are repressive and dictatorship

The World is witnessing several new instruments applied to curb, control and coordinate democracy by individuals ,without accountability mechanism , which inter alai is nothing but an outrageous camouflaged act of autocracy . This camouflage often consist of using populist stunts to divert the mind of the people from core issues concerning democracy. Abettors and agents have come up in clandestine manner from corporates , to increase their equity and net profits , acting hand in hand with the so called elected Governments which actually have turned themselves autocratic with vested interests.

While today some social media mafias, are playing a pivotal part in creation of new concepts , by continuously intruding the privacy of the users , collecting their valued information , researching on those collected datas , creating new algorithms for monitoring every move , and effectuating control the mindset of the people for their own gain , the political leadership of the Nation is cherishing this autocratic privacy violation for their own benefit — be it pecuniary or for power In simple words these Social media giants are trying to manipulate the Democracy , or dictate the Democracy at the behest of those Autocratic Leaders wearing the veil of democracy.

Activism, Dissent, & Resistance through Digital Culture , is also undergoing unprecedent censorship and monitoring .Nothing is as toxic to democracy as is censorship. Censorship prevents and promotes deception, which is essentially required to present a colourful picture before the World Community

Government corruption at the state level has flourished — thanks to the decline in truthful journalism and rise of paid media , which are actually the arms of spreading cooked up news for continuation of the dictatorship .

In some Nations of Asia , Government Corruption is openly aided by the Police !! From collection of money from street hawkers to mafias and sending a part of the proceed to unknown bosses , this strong arm of the government is also engaged in fabricating false criminal cases against dissenters — thanks to closed doors of the United Nations

Today Democracy is falling & to defend Democracy we have to be dedicated to truth , denouncing the fear of reprisal

I conclude with the The famous poem of Rabindranath Tagore titled “Where the Mind is without fear “

“Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high
Where knowledge is free
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments
By narrow domestic walls
Where words come out from the depth of truth
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way
Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit
Where the mind is led forward by thee
Into ever-widening thought and action
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake’’-
